The Party belongs to the People, not the Insiders!
Recently, PaGOP party chair Rob Gleason apparently criticized Sarah Palin. “I don’t think theater wins elections,” he stated in regard to her bus tours. “I am looking for party builders.”
Wouldn’t you think the Chair of the state GOP would know something about party-building? Shouldn’t his opinion carry…Continue
According to incumbant Republican County Commissioner Sam Valenty, the state GOP spent over $10,000 trying to defeat him by picking sides in the May Republican Primary.
"They could not control me, so they didn't want me in," stated Valenty on Altoona Public Access tv this past Thursday.
The county gop voted to endorse Valenty's competitors Mark Wissinger and Doug Lengenfelder. Out of a full committee of over 200 members, only a couple dozen were present in…Continue

It has come to our attention that the Chairman of the Somerset County GOP intentionally ignored write-in votes for dozens of vacant committee person seats on the May 2010 ballot.
The Philadelphia GOP was threatened with a lawsuit last year when they tried to do the exact same thing. The Philadelphia GOP then took the write-in candidates.
The Northeast Caucus met in Clark Summit on Saturday, Feb. 5th. There were 3 candidates for the Superior court position and only one candidate for the Commonwealth Court present at the meeting. They each were given time to tell about themselves and each entertained questions. After the candidates left the room, there was some discussion concerning the candidates, then ballots were distributed. There were 18 possible votes from committee members. The result of the NE Caucus straw poll was…Continue

A source reports that in a western county, the county GOP Chairman says it's "ok" for his Democrat friend to serve on the county GOP Executive Committee! After all, they're friends!
This source says she had to "beg" the employee at the county Elections office to provide her with a copy of the GOP Committee bylaws, which are supposed to be open to the public. She stated that the Democratic bylaws had a note on them which said "closed to the public."
Do you still think our GOP…Continue

These are truly "the times that try men's souls." We have all fought the good fight, we have given up times with our families, we have given up money for transportation, donations, etc...we have rallied and protested in opposition of this tyrannical takeover of our Country, we have called, emailed, faxed and visited our Non-Representative…Continue

I wanted to share with you this interesting letter from today's Altoona Mirror:
It was frustrating to read the Aug. 3 story about Congressman Shuster's public meeting ("Shuster gets an earful at event").
The sort of bizarre, foolish questions and comments he had to endure from a handful of people apparently claiming to be "conservatives" were not representative of the Republican party.
These individuals and their statements lead me to believe that they are…
Much has been made of the fact that families making less than $250,000 a year will not see their taxes raised. Of course they won't see it, because what they see could affect how they vote. But when huge tax increases are put on electric utility companies, the people will see electricity bills go up. When huge taxes are put on other businesses as well, they will see the prices of the things those businesses sell go up. If you are not in that "rich" category, you may not see…Continue
