We're trying here in PA but the sheeple of this Commonwealth are too afraid to vote outside of "their" party. Samuel E Rohrer from Berks County PA is the man all Pennsylvanians should be looking at. He is a true constitutional conservative yet the Sheeple stand firm... We deserve what we get....go to www.PatriotsforSamRohrer.org TODAY and get involved.

I don't think they are "afraid" of voting outside their party, unless by "afraid" you mean afraid of getting the WORSE candidate elected with less than 50% of the vote.
Don't you think that is a valid concern?

No.

The common voter is too afraid to think for themselves and vote for anyone other than endorsed candidates. Going into the voting booth and pulling the big R or D lever is a lot easier than thinking about the decision that would otherwise have to make. Sam Rohrer is a one of a kind candidate and because the PA GOP new they wouldn't have control over him the more unqualified candidate was chosen... We have to stop voting with the party and start voting against the party.

yes, we need to end party endorsements. In order to do that we need new people on the committees!
Now state committee is on 4-year terms. The county committees can put pressure on state committee to end endorsements.

Lois,
Word has it that if a committee person does not tow the party line they will be removed from their elected seat..Until we elect the proper candidates to office and remove party affiliations w the people do not have a chance.

First of all, it all depends on which committee you are on and what you mean by "tow the party line." There are ways around it. And yes, we DO have a chance. It is called the Primary Election!
Comment by Patriot for Sam Rohrer on August 24, 2010 at 5:37am
Lois,

Committee people are elected to do the bidding of the party and bring the efforts of the party back to their constituents. They are not to have their own agenda and are expected to serve the endorsed candidates. This mentality goes against the very grain of how our republic was designed to operate, so by standing in line and doing the party's bidding a committee person will do nothing to change the party.

As far as elections and primaries go, they are a fraud. Until ALL Pennsylvanians are permitted to vote in an OPEN primary and endorsing candidates in BANNED, there is no such thing as a fair and honest primary election. We have to step outside the box and take a close look at what we have become and that is nothing more than Sheeple that follow something to our complete and utter demise.

Patriot, I disagree with your premise that the committee people are there to do the bidding of the party. They are there to represent their constituents interest in their precinct, where they were elected.
The mentality that they are there to do the party's bidding is what we need to change.
The Primary is the party election. You should be registered in the party in order to vote in the party's election. The fraud is that the taxpayers are forced to pay for the party's private election.

Lois,
I hope you will join www.PatriotsforSamrohrer.org today and tell all your constituents that they will be electing nothing more than the lesser of two evils if they vote for who they are expected to vote for.

Lets see if you have the courage, to stand above the rest and make it known publicly. I hope you are right and if you are wrong you will see the wrath of the party. Do you have what it takes to look outside the box and vote for the most viable candidate? Samuel E. Rohrer is that man, and I challenge you to prove me wrong...

Patriot, this has nothing to do with "who is the better man" at this point. Sam had his chance in the Primary and he lost. What is the point now of writing his name in except as a protest? Sure you have the right to do it but it will not accomplish anything.
